September 9, 2025

In this space I feel called to begin to share messages, musings and inspired stories from simple everyday life. These are my experiences and my thoughts and opinions, except for where messages are occasionally channeled from Spirit.  My only hope and intention is for connection across the page.

I'm starting with the turn of the season and the garden. I have been busy feeding the hummingbirds with multiple feeders this summer, trying to deter the ever present drama as they fight to dominate the precious sugar water. I surround them with blooms so there is plenty of rich nectar, and out of one pot grew a surprise morning glory that wound its way up and up around the pole and is surrounding the feeder with beautiful fuchsia pink flowers now that cooler nights have arrived. The fleeting beauty of the hummingbirds and the morning glories, at the same time the leaves begin a slow turn of color and drop around my deck, is the ever present reminder of joy in small moments and the need to embrace change, a constant challenge.  Nature is ever reminding us that nothing will remain as it is for long,  the cycles and seasons will always continue. How to find joy and to remain grounded, flowing through these natural cycles when there is so much discomfort - not just physically but emotionally and spiritually in these times of great change? The hummingbirds will leave soon, taking their amazing little bodies across the country in pathways made by ancestors long before them, and I will put the feeders away for next year, along with the flower pots.  In the meantime, I breathe into each moment with gratitude and ask for balance, and for guidance. Lately I have felt I only hear silence in answer, but there is always presence, as if my guides are just being with me in this space between, not giving advice or direction, but the gift of presence.  And that perhaps is their message: be present - and to search for the nectar, the sweetness and joy in life found in the present moment, even in the most uncomfortable of spaces there is a peace within that is reachable.  Be present and the answers will reveal themselves.  Patience and kindness, deep compassion for our human experiences, and the practice of self care.

May you find moments of joy and beauty today and all days.
